Liverpool City Council (LCC) are looking to recruit a Domestic Abuse Partnership and Commissioning Officer to assist officers to work across the Council and sector to meet it’s statutory Domestic Abuse duties. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has an interest in the area of domestic abuse and knowledge of the sector.

The Domestic Abuse Act 2021 set out the statutory duties for local authorities on the provision of safe accommodation and support for people experiencing domestic abuse.

The Role:

  • As the Domestic Abuse Partnership and Commissioning Officer you will develop and support effective partnership and joint working within the Council and with the City Council’s key external partners including other Local Authorities, private and voluntary sector and local communities and commissioned services, as part of the Liverpool Domestic Abuse Partnership Board
  • You'll support the Liverpool Domestic Abuse Partnership Board in meeting its strategic ambitions within the Partnership Domestic Abuse Strategy 2024-2027, including the Safe Accommodation Strategy
  • Domestic Abuse Partnership and Commissioning Officer will liaise with analysts and officers across partners organisations to co-ordinate a thorough assessment of need within the city
  • In the role as the Domestic Abuse Partnership and Commissioning Officer you'll support the continued development of the voice of victim survivors, including the voice of the child
  • As our Domestic Abuse Partnership and Commissioning Officer you'll be required to work with commissioners to establish any requirements for services as a result of the Domestic Abuse Act and assessment of need

This role is fixed term until 31 March 2028 to ensure the council meets its statutory duties as set out in the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.
