The Role: 

  • As the General Practice Surveyor you will plan and prioritise your own workload in order to achieve property management results 
  • In the role as a General Practice Surveyor you will demonstrable professional approach and positive demeanor with strong problem ownership and problem-solving skills
  • General Practice Surveyor must have the ability to meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment, working under to meet objectives and responsive to changing priorities 
  • Within the role the General Practice Surveyor will take ownership for the planning, management and implementation of Property and Estate Management Services for a broad range of client partners across the City Council’s Real Estate
  • General Practice Surveyor will provide support to the Head of Service in the effective and strategic management of the Council’s Corporate Landlord function, Leasehold and Freehold property portfolio
  • As part of the role the General Practice Surveyor will undertake lease renewals, managing service charges, lease expirees and surrenders, processing break options, rent review negotiations, granting of new leases and tenancies, preparation of valuations for property transactions, council asset valuations, marketing property for sale or lease, strategic asset management reviews of the property estate
  • The post holder will be responsible for making a major contribution to the wider business plans and decisions that affect the City Council
