We are seeking to recruit a Parenting Inclusion Lead within the Early Help Service. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to make a real difference in the lives of parents and carers in Liverpool who find it hard to access parenting support
The Role:
- The Parent Inclusion Lead will consist of the delivery of evidence-based parenting programs and parenting interventions to parents and carers of adolescent children, who are not currently engaged in accessing support or who find it difficult to access parenting support. This includes parents and carers from BAME communities, fathers, parents in prison and parents with SEND needs. The role will include working together with Community Agencies, Children’s Centres and Family Hubs to engage, assess, monitor, and evaluate the needs of parents and carers who wish to access parenting programs or support, and to ensure they are signposted to relevant parenting interventions or programs, which will best meet their needs.
- As the Parent Inclusion Lead you will need to have a relevant qualification and experience of delivering evidence based parenting programs or facilitating groupwork with adults. You will have experience of working in an Early Help environment, with a variety of multi-disciplinary and community organisations
- Parent Inclusion Lead will have an ability to understand the barriers that parents may face, in trying to access parenting support services
This is a temporary post for 12 months from start date and is required to enhance Liverpool’s parenting support offer.
