The Role: 

  • The role is based in the Strategic, Stalled and Small Sites team in the City Development Directorate
  • This exciting new role will focus on identifying and bringing forward challenging sites both in the private and public sector for development
  • You will help to facilitate the delivery of a wide variety of urban regeneration projects, working closely with various stakeholders to drive forward schemes that will have a significant impact on the social, economic and environmental well-being of our communities
  • As part of the team you will help develop a future pipeline of opportunities, unlocking stalled sites and supporting the implementation of a programme to deliver residential, mixed use and public realm schemes, together with creating opportunities to bring forward new regeneration opportunities
  • We are looking for a collaborative, inspirational property professional with a broad range of experience in urban regeneration and development projects, including the identification, development and delivery of place making projects
  • The ideal candidate will be a strong team player, with excellent relationship management skills, and a clear track record of managing complex and challenging projects and programmes with multiple or diverse stakeholders
  • You will have the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, to plan, manage and secure the effective implementation of regeneration projects
  • We welcome applications from a variety of backgrounds, however, you will have experience of working with large and complex organisations and be confident in managing political, social and commercial project sensitivities
