The role: 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regulatory and Licensing Enforcement Officer to join the licensing enforcement team. As the successful post holder, you will undertake a wide range of duties across the Regulatory and Licensing Service provision. This includes taxi licensing, premises licensing (sale of alcohol and regulated entertainment) and street trading, working closely with other enforcement agencies within Liverpool City Council and external partners such as the Police.  

The successful applicant will work on a shift basis that covers weekend working, day and night shifts and bank holiday working. 

Applicants should ideally have an ability to apply legal knowledge to resolve problems and willingness to lead and undertake investigations and attend court / committee proceedings.

As the role is fast-paced, we require the post holder to work well under pressure and have the ability to meet strict deadlines. You should have good inter-personal and customer care skills and have experience in dealing with confrontational situations. You will have the opportunity to work in a diverse and developing environment where you can have an input into managing change successfully.
