Salary: £28,770 - £33,024

The Role: 

  • Working as part of a team to create a warm, nurturing environment where children and young people feel safe and cared for.
  • To contribute to the day-to-day functioning of the home so that the children and young people’s needs are met, including support around education, social development, health and well-being.
  • Developing positive relationships with children and young people to help them to understand and process their life experiences.
  • Follow policies and procedures and work with partner agencies to safeguard children and young people.
  • Help children and young people to understand their strengths and qualities and encourage them to have aspirations for their future.
  • The home is open 365 days per year and Residential workers work a shift pattern that includes an early shift, lates, weekends, sleep-ins and waking night shifts. In addition to your annual salary, you will receive a shift allowance for unsociable hours and weekend working.
