The Role: 

  • As the Residential Worker you will be based within a children’s home. The service operates 24 hours a day and this role includes shift working
  • The Residential Worker works as part of a team to create a warm, nurturing environment where children and young people feel safe and cared for
  • Within the role of Residential Worker you will contribute to the day-to-day functioning of the home so that the children and young people’s needs are met, including support around education, social development, health and well-being
  • The Residential Worker is key to developing positive relationships with children and young people to help them to understand and process their life experiences
  • Our Residential Workers follow policies and procedures and work with partner agencies to safeguard children and young people
  • As the key role and face of the role, the Residential Worker will help children and young people to understand their strengths and qualities and encourage them to have aspirations for their future
