The Role:
- The post will be to support delivery of our Sensory Motor Occupational Therapy service including assessments for motor coordination and delivery of our sensory processing difficulties pathway
- Full time permanent post (35 hours per week). NHS Band 7 Equivalent
- This position is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a team of highly specialist occupational therapists. As a Children's Occupational Therapist for Liverpool City Council you will provide occupational therapy assessment, intervention and advice to children, young people and their families to support their development and participation in activities of daily living and access to learning
- The post holder will be required to provide assessment and OT interventions for children and young people with additional needs as well as deliver training and strategy sessions on SPD. With a South Liverpool office and a North Liverpool Clinic space you will be working across the city in the community, children's centres, homes and schools as well as having the option to work from home
- You will be required to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, providing specialist knowledge, consultation and assessment for children with a range of conditions
- To liaise with health, education and social care services, working in partnership with nurseries and parents / carers and external agencies to deliver a high quality service
