Salary: Grade 6 (£33,024 - £37,336)

The Role:  

  • The Senior recruitment officer role is an exciting opportunity to be part of the change journey here at Liverpool city council, where we are driving improvements across our recruitment, with an ambition to become an employer of choice for candidates in all roles
  • Working with the wider HR team, the Senior recruitment officer will ensure that recruitment planning happens in a timely manner and is efficient, ensuring that your relevant contacts have reporting available on all recruitment activity throughout the process, to allow them to make business decisions based on data
  • A key element of the role of the Senior recruitment officer is to work collaboratively with your directorates to reduce reliance on agency staffing, using data to drive this, and reporting as required, to identify quick wins and longer term campaigns to reduce agency reliance
  • The role of Senior recruitment officer will own the redeployment process for their dedicated directorates from end to end
  • The Senior recruitment officer will support daily recruitment activity for their directorates including prioritising activity with the Recruitment officers to increase output
  • As Senior recruitment officer you will have demonstrable experience of taking a flexible and agile approach to your day to day activity to meet business needs
  • The Senior recruitment officer will be a brand ambassador for Liverpool city council, ensuring that both stakeholders and candidates receive the best possible service in a timely and professional manner
  • Above all the Senior recruitment officer will be a team player, working with the recruitment team and recruitment colleagues, supporting and guiding managers and candidates alike, through the recruitment and on-boarding journey.
  • This is a hybrid role, which will require flexibility in prioritising face to face to meetings where needed.

Shortlisting will take place W/C 16th September

Interviews will take place W/C 23rd September and will include a presentation on a topic to be disclosed once interviews are arranged.  Interview questions will also be shared prior to interview.
