Salary: £48,474 - £53,577

As part of our drive towards a new Target Operating Model for procurement across the Authority we have introduced a new team that will be responsible for procurement related policy and also enabling procurement and contract performance.  This role will have a specific task in driving the delivery of social value through procurement and contract management activity together with supporting the authoring and updating of related policy.   This is a new role and an exciting opportunity for someone to put their own ideas into how it develops moving forward.   

 

Whilst experience of working in a social value related role would be great, above all else we are looking for high quality individuals with a desire to make a difference.

 

What will I be doing? 

 

  • Conducting comprehensive reviews of our existing procurement processes to identify opportunities for enhancing social value delivery.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define social value objectives and integrate them into our procurement strategy and related policy.
  • Ensuring that social value considerations are embedded into all aspects of the tendering process, from pre-qualification to contract award.
  • Engaging with suppliers to educate them on our social value expectations and requirements.
  • Supporting the delivery of social value KPI’s and commitments through effective contract management
