The Role: 

Liverpool City Council is looking to recruit a Technical Professional to join our busy Desktop Team.

In this varied and exciting position your role will be to provide high quality technical support covering system administration, incident management, fault resolution, fulfilment of project tasks and associated administration & reporting.  Working to agreed service & operational level agreements you will ensure system and service availability is maintained.  

The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting, resolving, and triaging a wide range of ICT issues, will be organised and comfortable working in a busy ICT environment and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

The role:

  • Has problem analysis expertise covering triage/resolution for system administration, application, network, database, and server incidents, following approved ICT processes.
  • Monitoring and maintaining safe and secure connection onto the digital environments for all LCC staff and third parties.
  • Will be proficient with support of Desktop, Laptop and Tablet computing devices.
  • Will capture appropriate levels of detail to ensure the required information is available to Senior Management and Customer Relationship Team.
  • Will be motivated to manage personal objectives and meet high quality standards.
  • Will demonstrate teamwork and ownership of the customer experience.
  • Can liaise with both internal and external Customers at all levels.
  • Will be flexible across multiple city locations.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to support the implementation of many Projects, some including end user device refresh of all out of support devices including agile, providing technical knowledge and support to third parties
  • Lead on the ongoing business improvements to LCC sites, refreshing legacy equipment.
  • Regulate and secure LCC devices, keep business documentation and asset details updated to support ICT
